The stocks of companies with operations in the Buffalo area rose this week, led by Taylor Devices.
The Buffalo Bloomberg Stock Index rose 2.52, or 1.14 percent, to a 52-week high of 223.78. Thirty-nine stocks rose, 14 fell and three were unchanged.
Taylor Devices, which makes shock absorbers for machinery and structures, rose 22 cents, or 9.2 percent, to $2.61.
Rand Capital Corp., the Buffalo-based venture capital company, led the decliners. The shares fell 11 cents, or 6.6 percent, to $1.54.
Gibraltar Industries, which manufactures and processes metals, fell $1.22, or 5.1 percent, to $22.73.
The Buffalo Bloomberg Stock Index hit a 52-week low of 190.25 on Nov. 28, 2003.
