A 25-year-old man was being treated in the Erie County Medical Center after he was shot Friday in downtown Buffalo, police said.
Antoine J. Wright, of Humboldt Parkway, suffered two gunshot wounds in his right leg. His wounds are believed to be non-life-threatening.
Police said Wright was standing beside his vehicle in the 600 block of Washington Street at about 2 a.m. when an unknown person fired six shots at him.
Police said Wright ran south on Washington and west on Chippewa Street, where he called 911 on his cell phone at the South Elmwood Avenue intersection. Wright was then driven to the hospital.
Officers found six shell casings at the scene and impounded the vehicle for evidence. No arrest has been made.
