Edward M. Pasnik, a former General Motors repairman, died Wednesday in Medina Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. He was 81.
Born in Buffalo, he moved to Medina when he was a young child and graduated from Medina High School.
Mr. Pasnik served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He married Bernice Biernacki in February 1947 in Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Medina.
He worked for General Motors PowerTrain in the Town of Tonawanda as a tool repairman for 42 years, retiring in 1989.
Mr. Pasnik was a member of Sacred Heart Church, the Sacred Heart Club and Local 774, United Auto Workers. He enjoyed golfing and meeting his friends for coffee every morning at McDonald's.
In addition to his wife, survivors include two sons, Richard of Stewart, Fla., and John of Middleport; a daughter, Barb Klatt of Medina; 13 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. today in Sacred Heart Church, 208 Ann St., Medina. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
