Alice M. Lauridsen, a longtime resident of this area, died unexpectedly Thursday in her Depew home. She was 92.

Born Alice Johnson in Columbus, Ohio, Mrs. Lauridsen moved to this area when she was an infant and went to Lackawanna schools. A homemaker, she was a member of Lancaster Presbyterian Church.

Mrs. Lauridsen enjoyed making all types of crafts, including dollhouses and stuffed teddy bears. She also enjoyed gardening and contributing to various charities with donations of the crafts and clothing she made.

Her husband, Christian M., died in the 1970s.

Survivors include a daughter, Sherie Garmone of Depew; a sister, Amelia Johnson of Minneapolis, Minn.; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in Lancaster Presbyterian Church, 5461 Broadway, following prayers at 10:15 in Melvin J. Sliwinski Funeral Home, 85 George Urban Blvd., Cheektowaga.
