KIDNAPPED MAN FORCED TO WITHDRAW MONEY

A 47-year-old Hamburg man told Buffalo police he was kidnapped at gunpoint Wednesday night by three men who forced him to withdraw $300 from his bank account.

Ferry-Fillmore District Police said the victim was at a red light at Bailey and Kensington avenues when three men approached him at about 9:50 a.m.

Police said the assailants smashed the rear passenger window, stuck a shotgun in the car and ordered the man to unlock the vehicle doors. They then forced the man to drive to various locations throughout the city before going to his bank on Union Road in Cheektowaga and withdrawing the cash.

Police said the three men then stole the victim's cell phone and fled the vehicle at Broadway and Memorial Drive.
