Anna Remus, of Niagara Falls, a retired dry-cleaning worker, died Wednesday in Our Lady of Peace Nursing Home, Lewiston, after a short illness. She was 73.
Born in Linz, Austria, the former Anna Pimminger came to the United States in 1955. A longtime resident of the Town of Tonawanda, she worked for many years as a seamstress and dry cleaner at Aladdin Cleaners in Amherst.
Her husband, Hans, died in 1995.
Surviving are a daughter, Maria Ferchen of Niagara Falls; a son, Fred Curcio of Livermore, Calif.; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandsons.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in St. James Lutheran Church, 2437 Niagara Road, Bergholz.
