It's Thanksgiving time -- time for the Rev. Eric Johns to hit the streets again for six days living with Buffalo's homeless.
On Tuesday, Johns, pastor of the Buffalo Dream Center, was joined on the streets by his two daughters, his father and his father-in-law.
"Today is special, because I get to spend it with family," he said. "It makes three generations working together to see the dream of helping thousands of families come to pass."
Johns is seeking to draw attention to the homeless and raise awareness about "Boxes of Love," a Christmas campaign aiming to provide food to 3,000 families and distribute 5,000 gifts to needy children.
"Many people in the homeless community consider me as their pastor," Johns said, noting that many now greet him by name.
