Robert E. Link of Erie, Pa., a former Williamsville resident, died unexpectedly Thursday in St. Vincent Health Center, Erie. He was 56.
Born in Buffalo, he grew up in Williamsville and attended Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Elementary School. He was a graduate of St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute and the University at Buffalo.
A resident of Erie for 22 years, he was human resources manager for Haysite Reinforced Plastic in Erie for the past 10 years. Previously, he worked in human resources for Reed Manufacturing in Erie.
An avid golfer, he once shot a hole-in-one. He also enjoyed NASCAR racing and reading about history.
Surviving are his mother, Elizabeth of Williamsville; two sisters, Barbara Link LaRou of Snyder and Bonnie Link-Vorel of Gilford, N.H.; and a brother, Brad of Derby, Kan.
A memorial Mass will be offered at 10 a.m. Friday in Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 8500 Main St., Clarence. Burial was in Gateway to Heaven Cemetery, Erie.
