Earl Anthony Kay, a driver for BFI Waste Management, died Saturday in Erie County Medical Center of injuries suffered in a workplace accident Nov. 8. He was 30.
A Buffalo native, Mr. Kay was a graduate of Grover Cleveland High School.
Before joining BFI recently, he worked as a credit manager for Aaron's Rentals.
He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church and its Usher Board No. 2, and also was active in Men Against Destruction Defending Against Drugs and Social Disorder (MAD DADS).
Survivors include his wife of 5 1/2 years, the former Michelle Mathis; a daughter, Channell; three sons, Earl Jr., Julius and Eric; his mother, Ingeborg; and a sister, Sabiene, all of Buffalo.
Services at noon Friday in Antioch Baptist Church, 1327 Fillmore Ave., will be preceded by a wake at 11. Burial will be in Pine Lawn Cemetery, Cheektowaga.
