Ruby Daley, a former production worker at Mennen-Greatbatch Electronics, Clarence, died Saturday in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center after a short illness. She was 87.
Mrs. Daley was born Ruby Carr in Speedwell, Tenn. She attended schools in Tennessee and moved to Niagara Falls in 1936.
She worked for Blue Cross and Blue Shield for a time before joining Mennen-Greatbatch, where she was a production worker for 10 years before retiring in 1979. She also sold Avon products, Royal Plastics and other merchandise at home parties.
In retirement, Mrs. Daley lived in Silver Springs, Fla., for several years before returning to Niagara Falls.
Her first husband, Arnold Flood, died in 1978. Her second husband, Francis P., died in 2000.
Survivors include a son, Roger Flood of Youngstown; two daughters, Joyce DeLorenzo of Niagara Falls and Janet M. Eichler of North Tonawanda; a sister, Eleanor Cole of North Tonawanda; two brothers, James T. Carr of Youngstown and Jerry F. Carr of the Town of Niagara; 10 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Lane Funeral Home, 8622 Buffalo Ave. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Park, Amherst.
