MAN FACES DRUG CHARGES AFTER CRACK FOUND IN SHOE

Amherst police found five small bags of crack cocaine hidden in a driver's shoe, after a tinted windshield led to a traffic stop on Main Street near Bailey Avenue early Monday morning.

Three of the small bags of cocaine were hidden under the man's foot, while the other two were secreted in the sole of the shoe, according to Amherst police reports.

Officer Thomas Barillari, who stopped the vehicle shortly after 3 a.m. Monday, charged Charles Montgomery, 20, of Brinkman Avenue, Buffalo, with two felony drug possession charges and driving without a license, police said.
