Edward A. Wrzesien of Whitefish, Mont., a Buffalo native and former Trico employee, died Nov. 8 at home after a long illness. He was 54.
Known as "Mouse" to friends and family, Mr. Wrzesien was a Riverside High School graduate. An Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War, he worked for Trico from 1971 to 1980, then moved to Whitefish.
In Montana, he worked for American Timber for nearly five years, then for the U.S. Postal Service as a clerk for 16 years. He was director of the St. Charles Church Children's Choir and a member of the Knights of Columbus, the American Legion and the Disabled Veterans of America.
Mr. Wrzesien loved to fish, collect rocks, read, travel and play the guitar.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, the former Karen Myers; a son, Edward of Whitefish; and his sister, Geraldine Busshart of Kenmore.
Services were held Nov. 10 in Montana. A Buffalo memorial will be held at a later date.
