The head of a company that destroys documents is launching another business to save customers' records.
Kenneth Knight, president of American Document Destruction Services, is launching American Records Management on Grand Island.
The new company, which will be housed in a warehouse on Lang Boulevard, will offer records management digital technology and records storage services.
"We really want to focus on the technology of the future," he said.
The sale of the property, which was represented by David Schiller of NAI Pyramid Brokerage of Buffalo, is pending, and is expected to be completed in early December. The building's current tenant, Ackerman Mechanical Services, is in talks to continue leasing space there.
American Document Destruction Services is also based on Grand Island, on Grand Island Boulevard. That company, in partnership with American Ref-Fuel, burns customers' sensitive documents.
