Rose C. Muto, a homemaker, died Friday in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center after a brief illness. She was 86.
Mrs. Muto was born Rose Fabiano in Holland, Mich., where she graduated from Holland High School.
She married Joseph Muto in Holland in 1940. They moved to Niagara Falls in 1946. He died in 1989.
Mrs. Muto was active in the Mothers' Clubs at St. Joseph's School and the former Bishop Duffy and Madonna high schools.
She enjoyed watching sports, especially figure skating, as well as cooking and baking.
Survivors include two daughters, Josephine A. Tavano and Rozanne M., both of Niagara Falls; two sons, Anthony J. of Cincinnati and Vincent P. of Lockport; two brothers, William Fabiano and Paul Fabiano, and a sister, Beatrice Stokes, all of Holland, Mich.; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 1413 Pine Ave., following prayers at 9:45 in Spallino-Amigone Funeral Home, 1300 Pine Ave. Entombment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
