DRESSER GALLERY DISPLAYS WORK OF JAN VICTOORS

Rembrandt disciple Jan Victoors' "The Gypsy Fortune Teller" is on display in the Dresser Gallery on the first floor of the Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts at St. Bonaventure University.

The display is possible because of a $7,500 grant from the Lower Hudson Conference of Historical Agencies and Museums to conserve the 17th century Dutch oil painting. The award is one of 25 totaling $104,000 for conservation of Dutch genre works.

The Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and noon to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Admission is free. For more information, call the center at 375-2494.
