THOMAS J. ABATI, RETIRED SUPERVISOR
APRIL 5, 1924 -- NOV. 17, 2004

Thomas J. Abati, 80, of East Amherst, died Wednesday in Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital, Amherst, after a long illness.

Born in Buffalo, Mr. Abati also lived in Depew for 24 years.

In 1948, he married the former Charlotte M. McFaul.

He retired in 1986 as a supervisor after 36 years with Bell AeroSpace/Textron.

During World War II, he served in the Army. His military honors include the Purple Heart.

He also was a member of the 82nd Airborne Association-Niagara Frontier All Airborne Chapter of Buffalo.

In addition to his wife, survivors include a son, Joseph of Lancaster; two sisters, Marie Insinna and Celestine, both of Buffalo; and a grandchild.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in Amigone Funeral Home, 5200 Sheridan Drive, Town of Tonawanda. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Cheektowaga.
