EMTS, PARAMEDICS OK PACT WITH TWIN CITY

Emergency medical technicians and paramedics ratified an extension of their current contract Wednesday with Twin City Ambulance, union officials representing the workers announced.

Members of Local R2-394, International Association of EMTs and Paramedics, voted, 58-18, in favor of the contract.

"We worked with management to negotiate a contract that offers our members better health benefits and greatly improved wages," said Derek DeYoung, president of the union.

The contract includes wage increases for all union members and increased health insurance coverage.
