A Niagara Falls man pleaded guilty to a reduced marijuana possession charge Thursday in Niagara County Court.
Michael R. Dale, 21, of Buffalo Avenue, is to be sentenced for attempted second-degree criminal possession of marijuana Jan. 11 by Judge Peter L. Broderick Sr.
Assistant District Attorney Michael W. McNelis said police investigating a burglary at a neighboring home July 27 questioned Dale and noticed what they thought was drug paraphernalia in his home. They asked to search the home, Dale consented, and police found 1.22 pounds of marijuana.
McNelis said police also found a scale in the house, but Dale said the marijuana was only for his personal use.
