Josephine F. Johnson, a former nurse's aide at Mount St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston, died Tuesday in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center after a brief illness. She was 69.
Born Josephine Jasek in Niagara Falls, she attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1953.
She married James A. Johnson in 1968. They moved to the Town of Niagara in the 1970s.
Mrs. Johnson worked at Mount St. Mary's for 19 years.
She enjoyed crocheting and spending time with family.
Her husband is deceased. Survivors include two daughters, Diane M. Colosi of Niagara Falls and Sharon F. Perry of Sanborn; three sons, Robert A. and David M., both of Niagara Falls, and Douglas E. of Chesapeake, Va; a sister, Mary Wilson of Buffalo; and a friend of 36 years, Edward T. Selfridge of the Town of Niagara.
Prayers will be said at 9 a.m. Saturday in Zajac Funeral Home, 319 24th St., Niagara Falls, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 in St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church, 24th and Niagara streets, Niagara Falls. Burial will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Lewiston.
