PETER F. FAVORITE, WORKED IN CONSTRUCTION
FEB. 27, 1916 -- NOV. 17, 2004

Peter Frank Favorite died Wednesday in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center after a brief illness. He was 88.

A Niagara Falls native, he attended local schools and graduated from Trott Vocational High School. He was employed at International Paper Corp., Titanium Alloys Manufacturing Co. and Weber Oil Co. prior to working at Yarussi Construction Co. for Teamsters Local 449. He retired from Yarussi in 1978 after 25 years of service.

After his retirement, he helped make dough for Favorite's Pizzeria in Lewiston, which is operated by his son, Gary.

He enjoyed playing baseball, bowling, the race track and football. He was a New York Yankees fan.

His wife, Sarah Cirrito Favorite, died in 1969.

In addition to his son, he is survived by a daughter, Francine Daniel of Niagara Falls; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Lane Funeral Home, 8622 Buffalo Ave. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
