C. Stuart Hunt, considered by many to be the dean of Western New York's real estate community, has resigned from his longtime seat on the Buffalo Place board of directors.
Hunt, who joined the board in 1991 and served as the organization's chairman from 1994 to 1998, was honored by local elected officials and Buffalo Place directors during Wednesday's board session.
Numerous speakers paid tribute to Hunt as a first-class businessman, community leader and gentleman, noting his many efforts to make downtown Buffalo a better place to work, live and be entertained.
Hunt, 80, will continue as chairman of Hunt Real Estate Corp. and direct the firm's commercial division. He also plans to spend more time at his winter home in Florida.
