WOMAN FACES CHARGES OVER FOOD STAMPS

A Niagara County Sheriff's Department Welfare Fraud Unit investigator arrested a woman Tuesday on charges she failed to report wages while receiving $455 in food stamps to which she was not entitled.

Shakena N. Miller, 28, of Hyde Park Boulevard, was charged with petit larceny, misuse of food stamps and offering a false instrument for filing.

Investigator Stephen Gaydos said Miller failed to report wages from a temp agency. She was issued appearance tickets to return to City Court at 9 a.m. Monday.
