MAN SAYS HE WAS STABBED, ROBBED OF SUV BY 2 MEN

A 21-year-old Town of Tonawanda man told police he was stabbed in the back, pistol-whipped and robbed of his sport utility vehicle Tuesday night on Pauline Street, police said.

Mike C. Pitts of Englewood Avenue was treated in Erie County Medical Center's emergency room for superficial stab wounds and released.

Northeast District police said Pitts admitted he was attempting to buy drugs on Pauline, near Fillmore Avenue, at about 8:45 p.m. when two men threatened him with a gun and knife. The pair hit him on the right side of the head with the weapon.

The men stole his SUV and $12. Police later found the vehicle on Sherbourne Place.
