Lily Rose Tiburzi-Huer, formerly a clerk for Amherst Town Court, died Tuesday in her Amherst home after a long battle with lung cancer. She was 47.
Born Lillian Rose Tiburzi in Buffalo, she was a 1974 graduate of Sweet Home High School.
Before working for Amherst Town Court, she was a hostess and manager at McMahon's Restaurant and Angelina's Italian Grille and Bistro, owned by her mother. She also worked in the business office at Millard Fillmore Hospital.
A devout Catholic, Mrs. Tiburzi-Huer attended St. Pius X Catholic Church. She enjoyed making ceramics.
Surviving are her husband of 28 years, Kurt; two daughters, Melissa and Ashley; her mother, Edda Tiburzi of Williamsville; and three brothers, Donald Tiburzi, Davis Tiburzi and Renzo Tiburzi, all of Williamsville.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Pius X Church, 1700 North French Road, Getzville, after prayers at 9:15 in Roberts & Dengler Funeral Home, 8630 Transit Road, East Amherst. Entombment will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Cheektowaga.
