Earl M. Jacobs of Niagara Falls, a former diesel mechanic and truck driver with Ford Motor Co. in Buffalo, died Sunday in Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital, Amherst. He was 80.
Mr. Jacobs was born in Oakfield and served in the Army during World War II. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion in Niagara Falls and Teamsters Local 375.
His wife, Clara M. King Jacobs, died in 1997.
He is survived by two sons, John E. of Buffalo and Fred of the state of Alabama; three daughters, Sandy Cowles of North Carolina, Margaret "Peggy" Duryea of Dalton and Linda S. Urbanski of Rochester; a sister, Marion Winspear of Batavia; 19 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; and a great-great grandson.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Burdett & Sanford Funeral Home, 11 Maple Ave., Oakfield. Burial will be in Cary Cemetery, Oakfield.
