Bonnie J. Morgan, a longtime nurse in West Seneca, died Friday at home after a lengthy illness. She was 62.
Born Bonnie Shea in Quincy, Mass., she moved with her family to Allentown, Pa., where she graduated from high school. She later moved to San Bernardino, Calif., where she graduated from nursing school.
Ms. Morgan moved to this area in 1973. She worked as a registered nurse at West Seneca Developmental Center.
Known as "Bon Bon" to her friends, Ms. Morgan later worked as a nurse at another residence for developmentally disabled adults in West Seneca. She retired in the late 1990s.
Survivors include a daughter, Cheryl, and a son, Michael, both of Buffalo; her mother, Elizabeth Shea Laughlin of West Seneca; a sister, Patricia Roach of Palmetto, Fla.; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held Tuesday in My Father's House Ministries, Elma.
Her body is being donated to the University at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences.
