WOMAN SEIZED IN MOTEL FACES MULTIPLE COUNTS

A Buffalo woman was arrested on eight charges, including prostitution, during an incident in a Main Street motel over the weekend.

Police accused Ulpenda Miles, 31, of East Ferry Street, of biting Officer Brian Kern's hand and kicking him in the thigh during the disturbance early Saturday in the Travelodge Motel at 3612 Main St. They also accused her of swallowing a small amount of cocaine.

Miles was charged with second-degree assault, felony drug possession, tampering with evidence, resisting arrest, prostitution and three other charges, police said.

Michael Tagliarino, 39, of Springville, was charged with drug possession and patronizing a prostitute, according to police reports.
