FALLS MAN ACCUSED OF FOOD STAMP FRAUD

An Ontario Avenue man was arrested Monday morning on charges he lied when applying for county food stamp assistance.

Investigator Scott R. Elliott arrested Kenneth S. Converso, 33, charging him with petit larceny, misuse of food stamps and two counts of offering a false instrument for filing.

Converso received $320 in benefits that he wasn't entitled to in February, March and April of this year, Elliott said.

Converso was issued appearance tickets for his arraignment Wednesday in City Court, Elliott said.
