After reading Molly Ivins' column, "What's that awful smell?" I am compelled to answer her. The smell emanated from that hateful piece of garbage she wrote about the re-election of President Bush. She stated that "the Bush administration is going to be wired around the neck of the American people for four more years, long enough for the stench to sicken everybody."
Gee, what a fine American Ivins is. It would be wonderful if she could find it in her cold heart to accept the will of the majority of Americans and display some professionalism, good will and constructive criticism in her future columns about Bush. However, I doubt that will happen. At the end of her diatribe, she implored her fellow progressives to think about how they can lend a hand to "help the country recover from what it has done to itself." My advice to Ivins and her fellow progressives is to get over it or get out.
