WINTER CLOTHING SOUGHT FOR MUSLIM CHILDREN

Canisius College students are collecting new children's winter clothing for Muslim refugees who are about to spend their first winter in Buffalo.

The Eid Gift Drive coincides with Eid, the Muslim holiday when gifts are given in celebration and thanksgiving of the end of the holy month of Ramadan. Most of the refugees are from Africa.

Gift suggestions include new winter coats, gloves, mittens, hats, long-sleeve shirts, socks and scarves for children 6 months to 16 years old. The items will be collected by Nov. 20. For more information, call Sabiha Ahmad, 888-5260.
