The arrest of a Lackawanna man wanted on a warrant was only the beginning Friday after he was spotted in a car parked in the city's 1st Ward.
Grant Easley, 18, of Phillips Street, who was wanted on an unspecified warrant, was discovered shortly before 5 p.m. on Church Street, sitting in a car with two other men, police said.
As Easley was being taken into custody, officers spotted marijuana on the front seat of the car, police said. The other men -- Kevin Ingram, 20, of Franklin Street, and Edward Green, 18, of Thomas Terrace -- also were taken into custody, and police said they found additional drugs during a search of the vehicle.
A wallet in the glove box contained a large amount of crack cocaine, police said, and detectives discovered a scale typically used to weigh drugs. In the back seat, they found a bag containing 18 smaller bags of marijuana, police said.
More crack cocaine was found under Easley's hat, police said.
The arrests were made by Lt. Joseph Leo and Detectives Allen Knaszak and Chris Lalka.
Easley and the two others each were charged with two felony counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal possession of drug paraphernalia, loitering and unlawful possession of marijuana.
