Grace E. Hamilton of Buffalo, an expert knitter, died Wednesday in the Center for Hospice & Palliative Care, Cheektowaga, after a long illness. She was 63.
Born Grace Witebsky in Buffalo, she was a graduate of Park School and attended trade school for two years.
She enjoyed knitting and gave away many of her creations, including afghans.
Mrs. Hamilton also played the guitar and enjoyed helping others in times of need. She did volunteer work at Kenmore Mercy Hospital.
She was a member of St. Andrew's Catholic Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Meegan A. LoCoco of the Town of Tonawanda; a brother, Frank Witebsky of Silver Spring, Md.; and a grandson.
A memorial service will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Forest Lawn. Entombment will be in the New Mausoleum in Forest Lawn.
