EDITORIAL CARTOON WAS OFFENSIVE TO MANY OF US IN THE SOUTH

I happened to be flying out of Buffalo on Nov. 8 and picked up a copy of The News. I was highly offended by the editorial cartoon by Adam Zyglis.

I am a resident of North Carolina. Believe it or not, I have a college degree. Believe it or not, I make a six-figure salary. From Zyglis' drawing, one would think everyone in the South is a churchgoing red-neck. Has Zyglis ever been to Charlotte, N.C., or Atlanta, Ga.? I would wager that these cities are far more progressive and "with it" than Buffalo.

Part of the problem that Northern Democrats have is that they do not realize that they are in the minority. Most of our great country is conservative. That is evident by the Republicans controlling the Senate, the House and the presidency, with the most votes ever cast for a candidate in U.S. history. Fifty-nine million people cannot be wrong.
