COLLEGE REPORTS SETTING RECORD IN ENROLLMENT

Genesee Community College officials say enrollment has exceeded 5,000 for the first time in the school's 36-year history.

This fall's enrollment is 6,062, including a record 2,933 full-time students.

President Stuart Steiner attributed the surge in students to academic excellence, innovative programs and affordable costs.
