RICHARD F. LEADBEATER, ARMY, NAVY VETERAN
JUNE 2, 1928 -- NOV. 9, 2004

A Mass of Christian Burial for Richard F. Leadbeater, a veteran and former employee of Moore Business Forms, will be offered at 10 a.m. today in Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 1055 N. Military Road. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery.

Mr. Leadbeater, of Niagara Falls, died Tuesday in Mount St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston, after a brief illness. He was 76.

He was born in Niagara Falls and attended local schools. He graduated from Trott Vocational High School.

He served in the Army in 1946 and 1947 and in the Navy on the USS Mississippi and USS Missouri during the Korean War, from 1950 until his honorable discharge in 1954. He was a member of the USS Missouri Veterans Association.

Mr. Leadbeater began his career as a printer with Graphic Controls in Buffalo, before joining Moore Business Forms.

His wife, Viola A. Diana Leadbeater, died in 1987.

He is survived by a son, Paul R. of Scottsdale, Ariz.; a daughter, Joanne M. Knoesel of New York City; and two grandchildren.
