DRIVER KILLED WHEN CAR STRIKES METRO BUS

A man was killed this morning when his car drove into a Metro Bus at the intersection of Abbott and South Fisher roads in Lackawanna.

Lackawanna police and the Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority confirmed the driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene at around 8:30 a.m. The driver's identity had not been released as of late morning, and an investigation is continuing.

The driver was alone in the car, which struck the rear of the bus. The bus was not carrying any passengers at the time of the accident, and its driver was not injured.
