The Catholic Health System has purchased the Seton Professional Building, 2121 Main St., next to its Sisters Hospital.
The three-story, 60,000-square-foot medical office building, connected to the hospital by a second-floor walkway, was built in 1974 to house physicians, medical groups and hospital-related services. Sisters Hospital sold it to Great-Western Life Annuity Insurance Co., formerly Canada Life Assurance Co., in 2001 for $2.7 million.
Dennis McCarthy, Catholic Health spokesman, confirmed the "repurchase." The purchase price was not disclosed.
The building's anchor tenant is Catholic Charities, but the roster also includes a mix of medical and dental offices, clinics and labs.
