Matthew W. Mrowczyalski, a former postal clerk, died July 2 in Williamsville Manor Nursing Home, Williamsville, after a brief illness. He was 84.
The Buffalo native also had lived in the City of Tonawanda. He worked as a clerk for the U.S. Postal Service.
He served in the Army Medical Corps during World War II and was awarded a Bronze Star.
Survivors include his wife, the former Lottie Lekki of Kenmore; a son, Ronald Rowen of Virginia Beach, Va.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Burial was in Veterans Cemetery, Bath.
