A juvenile boy was being treated in the hospital today after he was attacked Wednesday night by three males who knocked him on the ground and stole his running shoes and $5, police said.

The boy was treated at the scene by Buffalo firefighters and then transported to Women and Children's Hospital. His condition is unknown.

Ferry-Fillmore District officers said the boy was approached by three males -- all wearing black clothing -- at about 7:30 p.m. at Goembel Avenue and Doat Street. The assailants displayed a gun and then hit him in the head, knocking him on the ground, police said.
