BANK ROBBER STRIKES AT CENTRAL PARK PLAZA

A Central Park Plaza bank was held up Wednesday morning by a man who handed the teller an envelope with "put $50 $100 in here" written on it and a gun drawn on the flap of the envelope, according to police reports.

The robbery took place at the Bank of America branch at 190 Central Park Plaza at about 11:15 a.m.

The robber was described as a 5-foot-10, 200-pound man with black hair, brown eyes and a heavy or full build. He wore a slight goatee, a dark skull cap and a three-quarter-length coat.

The robber got away with an undetermined amount of cash and fled toward Hill Street. No weapon was displayed.

The FBI and Buffalo police are investigating.
