I don't get it. How could it be that a majority of American voters have told the world that we want four more years of the same? Voters have said they want this war, a war based on two lies: That Iraq had weapons of mass destruction and that it caused 9/1 1. Voters have been taken in by a man who graduated from Yale but who has a problem with the English language. They see his stubbornness as a virtue.
I do disagree with detractors who mock his seven minutes of inaction after hearing of the 9/1 1 attacks. I think that was the last time he actually reflected on a decision. I try to understand those near and dear to me who have great confidence in President Bush. I can't help thinking they have been bamboozled.
