MAN WHO PUNCHED OFFICER GETS 4 YEARS

A man who punched a Niagara Falls policeman in the face April 29 was sent to prison for four years Tuesday by Niagara County Judge Sara Sheldon Sperrazza.

Willie C. Gulley Jr., 33, of Ninth Street, Niagara Falls, had pleaded guilty to second-degree assault and resisting arrest. He punched Officer Jay Fisher Jr., breaking Fisher's cheekbone, as Fisher and other officers were breaking up fights on Ninth Street near Ferry Avenue.
