Lori Ann Yohe died Sunday in Sisters Hospital, Buffalo, after a battle of three years with breast cancer. She was 47.
A North Tonawanda native, the former Lori Ann Bartolomei was a graduate of North Tonawanda High School and the University at Buffalo School of Business. For the last 15 years, she worked as a medical technician and was involved in medical research -- including juvenile diabetes -- at Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Buffalo.
Mrs. Yohe was an active member of the Niagara Walkers, participating in many race-walking marathons around the country and charity races.
She enjoyed the outdoors, arts, theater and travel.
"She could do anything," said her husband of 23 years, Jeff R. Survivors also include her mother, Frances T. Bartolomei, and a brother, Lawrence A. Bartolomei Jr., both of North Tonawanda.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday in Faith United Presbyterian Church, 3150 Elmwood Ave., Town of Tonawanda.
