The Niagara women's soccer team accepted an invitation to play in the Eastern College Athletic Conference tournament hosted by Columbia in New York on Saturday and Sunday. Niagara (9-7-1) will face Columbia (9-8) at the Columbia Soccer Stadium at Baker Field at 4 p.m. on Friday. Fordham (8-6-3) and Long Island University (8-6-2) will meet in Friday's other semifinal at 7 p.m. The winners will meet for the championship Saturday at 7 p.m.

FOOTBALL: Buffalo State tailback James Perkins was named Atlantic Central Football Conference Rookie of the Week after leading the Bengals to their 18-12 win over Thiel College. Perkins ran 26 times for 101 yards and scored two touchdowns.

WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL: Erin Graham and Micole Daluisio (Lancaster) of Niagara were named Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week. Graham posted a pair of double-doubles (kills and digs) against Rider and Loyola. Daluisio led Niagara in digs in both matches. . . . Buffalo State's Jen Breier (Grand Island) and Sam Damstetter (West Seneca East) were named to the All-SUNYAC second team.

MEN'S SWIMMING: Adrian Blaszczak of St. Bonaventure was named Performer of the Week in the Atlantic 10 Conference. Teammate Tommy Nowakowski was named Co-Rookie of the Week by the A-10.
