Buffalo police are investigating three carjackings -- two of them at gunpoint -- in the city over the weekend.

Police said the first incident occurred at about 8:33 p.m. Saturday, when an Amherst woman was sitting in her car in the 2000 block of Bailey Avenue, near Arden Avenue. Two men -- wearing all black -- approached the woman, displayed a silver handgun and ordered her out of her vehicle. They took the car and drove south on Bailey.

At about 12:30 a.m. Sunday, a Shirley Avenue woman was in her car at West Ferry and Main streets when a man, wearing a white jacket, walked up to her and punched her in the mouth.

The man jumped into her car and fled north on Main. The woman suffered a swollen lip. Police recovered the woman's car at about 11:55 a.m., parked in the 300 block of Grant Street.

At about 10:45 p.m. Sunday, a Genesee Street man's car was hijacked at Bailey and Schreck avenues by a man with a gun who ordered him out of the car. The robber drove north on Bailey.
