A 15-year-old boy suffered minor injuries late Friday when a gunshot pierced a store window and struck him in the right forearm, police said.
Detectives were seeking another 15-year-old in connection with the incident. Investigators said they thought the injury was accidental and that the shooter was attempting only to shoot out the store window.
The victim told police he was standing at 18th Street and Niagara Avenue at about 11:30 p.m. when he saw a large group of teens coming up 18th from Ontario Avenue, where there had been a house party.
The victim ducked into the nearby Corner Stop store and was hurt when a shot went through a store window.
The shooter will likely be petitioned to Family Court, police said.
