Everett N. Davis, of Warsaw, died Friday in Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester, after a brief illness. He was 80.
He was born in Gainesville and was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Merchant Marines.
Mr. Davis worked for 39 years at Lapp Insulator Co. in Le Roy, retiring in 1986 as an inspection foreman.
He was a member of the Wyoming County Veterans Club and its Drill Team; First United Methodist Church of Warsaw; and the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Perry. He was past governor of the Warsaw Lodge 560, Loyal Order of Moose.
He enjoyed his Keeshond dogs and was a fan of NASCAR driver Jeff Gordon.
Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Marie Pringle Davis; three daughters, Donna Wilhoite of Warsaw, Linda Grover of Perry and Carol Boone of Phoenix; a son, Mark "Monty" of Warsaw; two sisters, Marion Dumbleton and Ruth Lombard, both of Castile; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
A veterans service will be held at 6:45 p.m. Tuesday in Robinson & Hackemer Funeral Home, 246 N. Main St., Warsaw. A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Warsaw Cemetery.
