A leading parent activist in the Buffalo schools suffered a deep head laceration Thursday night, after he tried to flee from an assailant on Florida Street.
Kinzer M. Pointer, 41, was walking from his vehicle to his home at about 9:30 p.m., when someone put an unknown object to his head and told him not to move, according to police reports.
Pointer, president of Buffalo's District Parent Coordinating Council, tried to flee and was struck on the head with the unknown object. He had to be treated for the laceration in the Millard Fillmore Hospital emergency room.
