BUSH RE-ELECTION CITED IN LOCAL VANDALISM

Rocks were thrown through plate-glass windows of the local Republican headquarters downtown and a Town of Tonawanda military recruiting center early Thursday, two events believed related to the Election Day results on Tuesday.

The rocks smashed the windows at the Erie County Republican Committee headquarters in the Statler Towers and the Armed Forces Recruiting Center at 2822 Sheridan Drive.

Channel 4 reported that someone taped a letter to its front door, claiming that a concerned citizens group was retaliating against the GOP agenda and the war waged by the administration of President Bush.
