County Legislator Mark Schroeder, D-Buffalo, announces he has carbon monoxide detectors and radon test kits available at cost for his constituents and others at his office at 2019 Seneca St.
The radon test kit is $8 and the carbon monoxide detector is $25. Schroeder's district includes all of South Buffalo, Kaisertown, Lovejoy, Sloan and South Cheektowaga.
"Carbon monoxide and radon are colorless, odorless gases that are extremely hazardous," Schroeder said. "Many people may have these life-threatening substances in their homes and not even be aware of them."
